Three out of every ten planned vehicles have already returned to the Barcelona metropolitan area

A total of 87,700 vehicles have already returned to the Barcelona metropolitan area as of this Monday at 4:00 p.m., in full operation to return the May Day bridge. The figure represents 32.5% of the total mobility planned until midnight by the Servei Català de Trànsit, that is, practically three out of every ten vehicles (some 270,000 vehicles are expected to return).

The rains these days have caused some drivers to return early and this has allowed the return operation to be carried out in stages, without too many complications. Until early in the afternoon, congestion was recorded on the AP-7, the C-14 and the C-31. To facilitate mobility, there are circulation restrictions for trucks.

Specifically, on the AP-7 there are 7 kilometers of delays in the southern direction in the section between Sant Celoni and Fogars de la Selva, and 1.5 kilometers in the northern direction between Santa Margarida and els Monjos and Castellví de la Marca.

There is congestion on the C-14 northbound in Alcover, in Tarragona. The C-31 also registers difficulties in the west direction in the section between Santa Cristina d'Aro and Castell-Platja d'Aro, in Girona.
