In the preview published on YouTube, Barbie (Margot Robbie) appears dressed in the black and white striped bathing suit with which she went on the market in 1959 surrounded by girls who play with baby dolls that they end up destroying to keep the Mattel toy. .

The advance evokes the primate scene from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) by Stanley Kubrick that symbolizes the evolution of thought.

A narrator's voice begins by explaining that "since the beginning of time, since the first little girl existed, there have been dolls, but dolls had always been baby dolls until...", at which point a Barbie appears. giant.

The 75-second trailer also features an all-pink toy town, dance scenes and a brief glimpse of Barbie's boyfriend Ken (Ryan Gosling).
