This is the best roscón de reyes that you can buy in the supermarket, according to the OCU

This coming January 6 is Three Kings' Day, one of the most special moments of the entire year in our country and what can never be missing from the table the day the children open the gifts they have been waiting for is the traditional roscón.

Although many opt for buying one in a traditional pastry shop, it is also very common to go directly to the supermarket, which is why the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has decided to analyze which ones are the best.

The OCU study has brought together 13 roscones de reyes, of which almost half (six) have been left out of the sample because they do not even reach the necessary minimum quality, because they replace "the cream with mixtures of vegetable fats from palm, coconut or rape.”

In first position and taking the award for best supermarket roscón de reyes is the one from the German chain Lidl, which the OCU considers to be of “good quality” and at 7.99 euros, which highlights its good value for money.

The podium is completed by the roscón de reyes from El Corte Inglés, somewhat larger, but for a higher price of 16.95 euros, and the sweet from the Día brand, for a price of 9.99 euros, which is somewhat far away. of the first two as it is considered of “average quality”.

The study has evaluated the roscones from brands such as Ahorramas, Alcampo, Aldi, Carrefour, Eroski, Froiz, La Despensa or Mercadona, but the OCU actually recommends buying those that occupy the first and second positions.
