Since Barça closed the season at the Camp Nou, after the tribute to Sergio Busquets on May 31, the Limak company got down to work remodeling the stadium. After three weeks of work, the Barcelona coliseum presents a very different image from the usual one, now without grass on the pitch and without a large part of the seats.
Barça has released images of how the works are progressing, which according to what was agreed should allow the return of the first Blaugrana team to the stadium in November 2024. The end of the remodeling of the stadium is scheduled for the summer of 2026, but not the entirety of the Espai Barça, which still does not have a specific completion date.
For now, part of the third tier has been destroyed and all the pavement around the stadium has been raised, where only the sculptures of Johan Cruyff and Ladislao Kubala, two legends of Barcelona, remain intact. Much of the façade, especially one of the goals, has also been dismantled.
Inside, where the Barça players used to play, a lawn always in perfect condition, now there is dirt, runes and remains of the structure of the enclosure removed by various cranes. Nor is there any trace of the technical areas on the band, neither the local nor the visitor, and they have begun to dismantle the first rows of the first tier.
