This is how Nadja Auermann, the model with the longest legs in the world, has changed

In the 1990s, the phenomenon of supermodels arose. Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss or Elle Macpherson were the most popular tops at that time, but there were also other girls who stood out for their physique, such as the German Nadja Auermann.

Born on March 19, 1971 in Berlin, Nadja knew from a very young age that she wanted to study architecture. She also considered the possibility of going into politics, but when she was 14 years old, a talent scout met her in a coffee shop and proposed to be a model. She signed a contract with the Karin agency and later won The Look of The Year contest organized by the Elite agency, which she joined after her triumph.

Auermann moved to live in Paris to try his luck as a model. A radical change of look, with a very short haircut and dyed platinum blonde, was the key for her to stand out in the industry. It didn't take long for her to appear on the cover of the British edition of Vogue and, two years later, she fulfilled the dream of any model of starring on the cover of Vogue, the fashion bible directed by Anna Wintour.

After her appearance in the iconic publication, the German began working with the most renowned designers. Karl Lagerfeld, who counted on her for the Chanel shows, dubbed her "the new Marlene Dietrich" because of her physical resemblance to the German actress and singer. Donna Karan, Gianfranco Ferré, Yves Saint Laurent, Gianni Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier or Dolce

The model's success reached such a point that George Michael signed her for the Too Funky video clip. At that time, it was common for the artist to look at the models of the nineties to include them in his music videos, as happened in 1990 with his well-known Freedom, where Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Tatjana Patitz appeared.

In 1995, he appeared in the Pirelli calendar and two years later his name entered the Guinness Book of Records. The culprits? The 112 centimeters that her legs measured, incredible measurements that earned her, from that moment on, she was known as the model with the longest legs in the world. In 2003, she became the image of the Wonderbra bra made fashionable by Eva Herzigova.

Nadja's biggest dream was to be a mother. She fulfilled it in 1997, when she gave birth to her first daughter Cosima, the result of her relationship with Olaf-Björn Tiet. However, love did not triumph and in 1999 she, the model, said "yes, I do" to the German actor Wolfram Grandezka, with whom she had her second child, Nicolas. Seven years later, the couple decided to separate. Soon, she met a German psychiatrist with whom she had two more children.

Today, Auermann continues to work as a model, especially for German beauty brands like Schwarzkopf. She has also been featured in the Italian edition of Vogue and in a feature for L' Officiel.
