It was some young people who found the body of a woman abandoned in a pedestrian crossing in the vicinity of the Benyamina north urbanization in Torremolinos and who raised the alarm to the Local Police of the Malaga municipality. It was half past one in the morning on Wednesday and several security forces agents and an emergency services unit went to the scene of the discovery.
The woman, who remains unidentified, could be between 20 and 30 years old, and showed obvious signs of asphyxiation, according to the newspaper Sur. It remains to be determined if the death was caused by some substance that could have been ingested or if it is, as everything indicates, a violent death.
The National Police has already opened an investigation to clarify the event in this area of Torremolinos.
Apparently, the victim would have been dead for several hours before being found in the middle of a public street, right in a very busy spot during the day, so it is suspected that someone would have moved his body to the entrance of this urbanization well into the early hours of the morning.
As this was a possible criminal scenario, the Unit Against Specialized and Violent Crime (UDEV) was activated, the local newspaper noted, as well as the judicial commission, in charge of ordering the removal of the body. The lifeless body of the young woman, who did not carry any documentation that could be used for identification, was initially transferred to the Malaga University Clinical Hospital and then taken to the Legal Medical Institute, where the autopsy was performed on the same Wednesday. .
The final report of the coroner is at the expense of performing some toxicological tests.
