The woman found dead in Moratalaz was murdered by her husband

The autopsy carried out on the bodies of the couple found at their home in the Madrid district of Moratalaz has confirmed that the 62-year-old man killed his 51-year-old wife, and then allegedly committed suicide with a captive bullet weapon, a type of gun used for slaughtering cattle. This murder brings the number of fatalities from gender violence to 36 in 2023, 1,220 since 2003.

Sources close to the investigation have told EFE that the forensic analysis carried out this Friday has concluded that the woman was murdered, although the cause has not been revealed, and the man allegedly took his own life with this weapon, found next to his body.

The couple's bodies were found around 2:00 p.m. this Thursday in different rooms from the home where they resided, located on Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente street.

Both bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition, and the strong odor emanating from the house, accelerated by the high temperatures, was what led the neighbors to alert the Police who had contacted a child to find out if they knew anything about their parents. .

Both corpses were in an advanced state of decomposition, so although the agents of the Madrid Homicide Group V are considering that he would have killed the woman and then committed suicide, they do not rule out other theses until the forensic analysis is complete.

The firefighters from the Madrid City Council finally broke down the door of the house and after finding the bodies, members of the Homicide Group V and the Scientific Police went to the scene, who carried out an on-site inspection.
