The three commandments in the obituary of a man from San Sebastian: "1º Live life..."

Miguel Martín-Mateo Rey from San Sebastian said goodbye on March 31, at the age of 86, although he wanted to leave one last message, vitalist and with a sense of humor, to his relatives. In the obituary published in El Diario Vasco on the occasion of his death, he invoked three commandments and proposed a final toast to his friends: “We will meet at the soci -gastronomic society- tomorrow, Monday at seven in the afternoon. Whoever arrives late is left without dinner ”, collected the obituary.

The message began by announcing his death: “Kaixo! (Hello, in Basque), Simply tell you that I have left you. Who was going to tell me, 86 years old and two great-grandchildren. Those really have life!

From there, he launched his three commandments: "Always remember my three commandments: Live life 2º The best you can 3º Other people's accounts of coj… hang".

And he ended with a message addressed to his relatives: “I propose a toast to the years we have enjoyed together. We meet at the soci tomorrow, Monday at seven in the evening. Whoever arrives last is left without dinner. A big hug to everyone".

The obituary of Miguel Martín-Mateo Rey has not been the only one published these days in Gipuzkoa that has attracted attention. The Basque Newspaper published another surprising obituary two days earlier, in this case to honor Mari Fe Usabarrena González.

The text, signed by her son-in-law, read as follows: “So many whores near and far, and my mother-in-law has to die… In life, flowers and visits. In the cemetery the deceased does not need them. She rest in peace love. Always in our hearts."
