A massive fight involving around thirty people involved in the Plaza Major in Olot forced the deployment of several members of the Mossos d'Esquadra and the municipality's local police this Sunday.
As reported by the Diari de Girona and confirmed by ACN, the police received notice around a quarter to eight at night that a dispute was taking place between two groups of people, everything indicates that it was due to the theft of a mobile phone.
Public order and citizen security personnel from the Mossos, along with the local police, went to the area. When the agents arrived, those involved had already dispersed. According to police sources, the fight left some minor injuries.
The Mossos activated different riot units that stood guard until one in the morning, accompanied by two ambulances, in case the fight continued in another part of the city.
