The Ter, to the rescue of the Sau reservoir

In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see how the river Ter has improved its flow with the last rains and directs its waters towards the Sau reservoir, in need due to the persistent drought.

In this case, the images show the river as it passes through Roda de Ter, where it is so present that they use the expression "bridge upon bridge and a church at each end" to refer to this homeland of the poet Miquel Martí i Pol.

Next to Les Guilleries and crossing the Ter River, there is a promenade along the riverbank that invites us to explore the industrial past of Roda de Ter linked to the river course.

The Ter rises in Ulldeter at an altitude of 2,480 metres, at the foot of a glacial cirque in the Ripollès Pyrenean region, very close to the town of Setcases. This river is very important in the history of the development of the towns of Osona through which it passes, especially with regard to industry.

One of the excursions that can be done to check the rise of the river with the latest rains is to follow the Vora Ter path, which starts in Torelló and extends for 20 kilometers following the river through small towns up to the town of Manlleu.
