The storms are just political

It is possible that ERC has added a TV3 meteorologist like Tomàs Molina to its European lists because people are more concerned about the weather than about independence. In any case, it is as implausible to think that it will soon pour rain as it is that a Spanish Government will allow a self-determination referendum in this legislature. There was a time when the Government was entrusted to the Virgin of Montserrat when water was scarce in the reservoirs, but today that does not happen, because the majority are agnostics in the Executive Council. Faith moves mountains, but the independence movement no longer trusts its holiest massif, neither for water nor for a referendum. Another thing is that they take the subject out for a walk as before they paraded with religious steps. More out of obligation than devotion.

At noon yesterday, it was Pere Aragonès who appeared at the Centelles palace, which was the headquarters of the Philharmonic Society before being the headquarters of the Institute of Autonomous Studies, directed by former ERC deputy Joan Ridao. It was he who gave the Catalan president the roadmap to carry out an independence consultation. The proposal was not a great novelty, since it opted to channel it through article 92 of the Constitution, which authorizes consultative referendums. By the way, the consultation should be called by the King, at the proposal of the President of the Government, with prior authorization from the Congress of Deputies. “Well, molt bé, well goodbye,” according to the phrase of Major Trapero that went viral on Twitter.

Even so, Aragonès said, from the palace of Baron de Centelles, that anything is possible, that he will present his proposal at the next dialogue table with the Government and that all that is needed is political will to ask the people if they want Catalonia to be a independent state. The Government replied that he should not count on them for this trip and the PP attacked Sánchez for not throwing his partners out the window.

The electoral campaign promises to be endless. Feijóo himself stated that he could not take any more of this noise. Let's see if it rains hard and the meteorologists talk about the weather again, even those who sign up for ERC.
