The rains in July revive the harvest season for wild asparagus

The weather is so crazy this summer that it defies sayings that wild asparagus is for spring. Well, this year, it is not like that, since with the last rains in July and the heat the harvest season is being reactivated.

"April asparagus for me, May for my master, June for none or for my donkey", goes the saying, which this summer seems to be wrong.

At least, judging by the splendid asparagus that are sprouting up in the streams of Sant Llorenç del Munt, as we see in The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.

Actually, wild wild asparagus grows in many places in Spain, which concentrates 90% of the presence of Asparagus acutifolius in Europe.

Wild asparagus (wild asparagus) is also known in the Mediterranean area as a hedge to delimit the plots, taking advantage of its spike-shaped leaves, while the "asparagus tips" serve as food.
