The Puigsacalm crowns the autumn

Puigsacalm is surrounded by autumn colors, in the Garrotxa region, as can be seen in this photographic report in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

It is a mountain that, with its 1515 meters of altitude, is the highest of the Serra Transversal. It belongs to the Vall d'en Bas, located at the head of the Fluvià river, surrounded by the Serra del Corb, the Serra de Sant Miquel, the Serra de Llancers and the Puigsacalm itself.

Now we are in the middle of autumn and its colors are noticeable in the trees. The autumn contrasts in the landscape are evident at this time of year.

The Cordillera Transversal is framed by the Ter River, the Vall de Vianya and the Fluvià River. It would link the Pre-Pyrenees with the Catalan Coastal Range.

The geographical framework of the mountain range is defined, to the north and west, by the Ter River and the Pre-Pyrenees; to the southwest, the Plana de Vic; to the south, again the river Ter, which separates it from the Guilleries, which serves as a bridge with the Prelitoral Mountain Range and the Montseny massif; and to the east, the Vall d'en Bas, the Fluvià river and the La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.
