The Castilla-La Mancha Prosecutor's Office has decided to open investigation proceedings into the video in which the mayor of Fontanar (Guadalajara), Víctor San Vidal, allegedly addresses a City Hall worker in "absolutely humiliating and humiliating" terms, considering that these facts could constitute a crime of workplace harassment or degrading treatment.

According to the Prosecutor's Office in a statement, it is considered that these behaviors, "which apparently are repeated," are "absolutely unacceptable in a democratic society in which respect and equality are essential for coexistence, especially in the case of a public official with respect to a worker".

The Prosecutor's Office dates these events to March 3 of this year, events that apparently occurred in municipal offices in the town of Fontanar.

In the video, to which Europa Press has had access, the mayor, from the 'Entre todos Fontanar' group, shouts at the worker for her attitude, calling her insults such as "subnormal, mentally retarded and stupid."

Some events for which the councilor has shown his regret and which he has attributed to "a situation of accumulated stress" and the "extreme nervous tension" that he has been "dragging for some time."
