The power of attraction of Tossa

In La Vanguardia Readers' Photos we can see how the clouds hover over La Tossa at dusk, seen from Santa Margarida de Montbui, in the Anoia region.

It is as if this emblematic mountain attracted the clouds, colored by the approach of twilight, towards it as sunset approaches.

La Tossa de Montbui is a mountain of 620 meters that is located in the municipality of Santa Margarida de Montbui. At the top are the hermitage of Santa Maria and the Castle.

The Tossa de Montbui is part of a series of mountainous alignments of the Catalan Prelittoral Cordillera, where the Sierra de Queralt and the Sierra de Miralles stand out, which separate the basins of the Anoia and Gaià rivers.

The color of the clouds is due to the candilazo, a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors ranging from pink to the most intense orange.
