The plaque in tribute to Miquel Grau in Alicante suffers a new attack with Nazi symbols

There are countless attacks that it has suffered since the plaque was installed in 2015 in memory of Miquel Grau, murdered in 1977 in the same place where he has been remembered since then. On this latest occasion, the vandals have left their signature on a sticker - today half torn off - on which the Nazi swastika can be seen.

This happens after this weekend the Nazi symbol appeared painted on the information plaque of the bust of the capital Archibald Dickson, which was quickly cleaned by the services of the Port Authority. In this case, a complete repair will be more difficult, because the board has what look like burns.

The cruelty towards the memory of Miquel Grau even forced the city council to modify the previous design for one that should be more difficult to spoil, and the text that explained the reason for the tribute was eliminated.

But eliminating the mention of "fascist aggression" about "the last victim of the political violence of the democratic transition", as the previous plaque stated, and limiting oneself to mentioning the name of the murdered person and the date of his death, has not been enough to avoid this new aggression.
