The new Paseo by Loewe, the bag that Gaudí could have designed

In 1910, Loewe opened its first store in Barcelona, on Fontanella Street. But his great landing in the Catalan capital did not come until 1944, when he settled at number 35 Passeig de Gràcia.

It became one of the first boutiques to opt for an avenue occupied by large financial institutions. He did it in a big way, in the modernist Casa Lleó i Morera, designed by the renowned Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

The link between the brand and the city of Barcelona, which has strengthened over time, today materializes in a new luxury bag that they have named Paseo. Introduced in the Spring-Summer 2023 collection, the model presents an elegant vision of modern femininity and a new aesthetic for the house's luxury leather goods.

The Paseo uses a new incredibly flexible calfskin to create a distinctive elliptical silhouette in which two folds carry the material towards its tubular leather handles. These curved lines, as if they intuitively followed the shapes of nature, are characteristics of the modernist movement, so present in the architecture of Paseo de Gracia.

It comes in a range of shades from dark butter, burgundy and light mauve, to emerald and a khaki green topped with the immaculate bracts of a bright, exotic anthurium flower.
