The National Police arrests 'Juan Diablo' in Dénia, a "dangerous" hitman wanted in Colombia

Agents of the National Police have arrested a fugitive wanted by Colombian judicial authorities for the commission of numerous violent crimes. The fugitive, nicknamed “Juan Diablo”, is a member of the criminal group “Los Lobos” that operates in the municipality of Tuluá, Valle del Cauca (Colombia).

The detainee would be, according to the Police Force, in charge of ordering and committing the thefts and different kidnappings, extortion, torture, violent sexual access, as well as the forced disappearance of different citizens of the Colombian municipality. For all this, the Colombian judicial authorities request a sentence of 42 years in prison.

The investigation began when, through INTERPOL, the agents received a communication about the possible presence of the fugitive in Spain. After various efforts, it was learned that the fugitive could be found in the Alicante municipality of Dénia.

Considering the "dangerous and violent profile of the fugitive", the Police explains that urgent efforts were initiated to find out a possible address, managing to locate and immediately arrest the fugitive in the Alicante town. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Central Court of Investigation acting as guard of the National Court.
