Another industrial marijuana plantation in Catalonia, this time in the Baix Llobregat region. The Mossos d'Esquadra have dismantled a marijuana cultivation with more than 800 plants in a warehouse in Sant Andreu de la Barca (Barcelona). In addition, they arrested two people in charge of the plantation, who lived in the compound.
The investigation began in August, when the Mossos detected an industrial warehouse in Sant Andreu de la Barca with no known industrial activity, but with movement of people and vehicles, where they carried material usually used to install marijuana plantations, the police explained this Thursday. Catalan in a statement.
Furthermore, technicians from the electrical company estimated that the warehouse's consumption was much higher than that of a company's activity and that the installation had been manipulated, with the consequent risk of fire.
After weeks of investigation, police officers concluded that there was a marijuana plantation inside that warehouse and last Tuesday they proceeded to enter and search the warehouse.
Inside the facility they located a complex marijuana facility, divided into several rooms and a specific area where the people under investigation lived, so entry and search was stopped.
Likewise, the agents arrested the two people under investigation, aged 27 and 29, for a crime against public health and a crime of electricity fraud.
Finally, under the supervision of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 5 of Martorell, the registration was completed the same afternoon and the cultivation of more than 800 marijuana plants and the entire facility were dismantled.
