He approached the terrace of a cafeteria asking for money from the customers of the establishment when, without saying a word, he punched a 5-year-old boy in the face while trying to steal his mother's mobile phone. The attacker, a 51-year-old man, has been arrested by the Malaga Local Police as the alleged perpetrator of attempted robbery with violence.
The events occurred on the morning of June 26 in one of the premises in the Cruz Humilladero district of Malaga, according to police sources, at which time the individual attacked the minor who, on the other hand, also suffered a cut on one leg due to of the breakage of a crystal glass that was on the table. After that, he tried to get hold of the mobile terminal of the mother of the victim, although the phone ended up falling to the ground and the man ended up fleeing the place.
On the now detainee, who was identified thanks to the collaboration of several witnesses, there are numerous records for various criminal acts.
It was the same customers of the cafeteria who alerted a police patrol that was circulating in the area of the events. The assailant was intercepted a few meters from the place thanks to citizen collaboration, after which he was identified and transferred to police stations, and was later brought to justice.
Meanwhile, mother and son chose to take refuge in a school where they were assisted by other members of the State security force and transferred to a health center in the capital of Malaga to be treated by health professionals.
