In this photo report in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see the Puig de Dòrria (2547 meters high) from Nevà (Toses).

Puig de Dòrria rises on the border ridge that separates Catalonia from France, presided over by Puigmal. This Pyrenean peak owes its name to the village of Dòrria, located in the Rigard valley, between Ribes de Freser and the Collada de Toses.

Dòrria, small town in the municipality of Toses, in Ripollès, which has the distinction of being the highest populated center in Catalonia, at an altitude of 1,550 meters above sea level.

Without leaving Toses we find the municipality of Nevà, from where we enjoy splendid views of Puig de Dòrria, as can be seen in the photographs. The town is located at the end of the GIV-4015 road, which leaves Planoles and is the main communication route.

Nevà enjoys a privileged position due to its location on one of the slopes of the wide valley that forms the Plans de Nevà, which gently descends from almost 2000 meters to the town and offers us a bucolic landscape, where livestock is present.

Nevà has always been linked to the feudal domain of Toses, despite having full parish autonomy. It appears cited in 839, with the name of Nevano. Furthermore, the connection between Nevà and the Cathars is documented.
