The hill of sunsets in Sant Celoni

Today, in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos, we are located on a small mountain where we can see a good sunset in Sant Celoni, in the Vallès Oriental.

And today was a good day to go there, since the ingredients for a reddish sunset were there, as can be seen in the images. These ingredients are what we have had with clouds accompanied by some clear ones.

So thanks to these factors (among others), today we were able to see how the sky of Sant Celoni lit up at the moment of the beautiful sunset. All this is due to the candilazo.

The candilazo is a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors that ranges from pink to the most intense orange.

As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.

The candilazo is also known as arrebol, which is the red color seen in clouds illuminated by the sun's rays, especially at dawn and in the evening.
