The futuristic single-seat electric supercar coming from Sweden

A little over a year ago, the Swedish firm Polestar, part of the Volvo group and dedicated to the manufacture of premium electric cars, launched a design competition with the aim of achieving a technological, high-performance and sustainable electric car. Instead of proclaiming a winner, it was finally decided to merge three projects into one.

Indian designers Swapnil Desai and Devashish Deshmukh have created and developed the exterior, while Chinese designer Yingxiang Li has conceived the interior of the car. All of them, who are starting their professional careers, have worked closely with the Polestar team in Göteborg (Sweden), where their design studio is located.

The car in concept version has been baptized with the name Synergy, although it must be taken into account that it is not a functional prototype, at least for now. Rather, we would be talking about a life-size model. The latter is not a coincidence, but the next step of Synergy can be found in the field of (scale) models.

And Polestar's association with the toy firm Mattel has many numbers of turning this supercar into a Hot Wheels miniature. Therefore, in the absence of being able to purchase it in full size, those who feel attracted to it will be able to at least own it in a “pocket” version. Until that happens, it should be noted that the proportions of this electric car would not make it easy for all drivers to access.

The reason is that its height is only 1.07 meters. For its part, the length of the vehicle is 4.56 m. It should not be overlooked that this is a proposal designed for individual use, since it only includes the driver's seat. Aside from its size, there are many features that draw attention to the Synergy.

The most obvious is, without a doubt, its clearly futuristic appearance. Her front stands out for her strong personality and a “look” that evokes aggressiveness. For their part, the marked and aerodynamic front wheel arches do not go unnoticed. It should be noted that it does not have a rear window and that access to the cabin is done once the front glass is fully raised, in the style of combat aircraft.

What has not been communicated for now are the technical characteristics or the features that the supercar would have if it were to be produced, something that seems unlikely, in any case. The vehicle has seen the light at the Munich Motor Show (IAA Mobility 2023). Once the event ends, it will be shipped to the United States.

Polestar intends for him to be one of the main stars of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour that will be held in the Californian town of El Segundo, on October 7.

Subsequently, the vehicle will be shown at various points in the North American country. To learn more about Synergy you just have to take a look at the video that accompanies this article.
