The curtain rises on flowering in Terra Alta

The flowering curtain has already been raised in the Terra Alta region, where you can also enjoy the spectacle of flowering trees, such as peach and almond trees, which show off their colors in Horta de Sant Joan, as we see in Photos from La Vanguardia Readers.

Not in vain Horta de Sant Joan is one of the villas that is part of the Florides Villages movement, an initiative of the Confederation of Ornamental Horticulture of Catalonia (CHOC) that promotes "the transformation of corners, towns and cities of Catalonia and Andorra to through urban and landscaped green spaces".

Horta de Sant Joan is known for the famous phrase of the artist Pablo Picasso: "Everything I know I have learned in Horta." Its municipal area is part of the Parc Natural dels Ports and the Terres de l'Ebre Biosphere Reserve, declared by UNESCO.

The landscape, with the flowering of fruit trees as the protagonist, becomes a great attraction as spring approaches, also complementing the gastronomy of this area and the cultural and historical heritage of the territory.

The fields are the scene of a burst of colors, depending on the flower of each tree, which offer a very attractive color combination.
