The cold and humidity give a break and help to stabilize the fire in Castellón

The forecasts have come true and the night has been positive for the work of the forestry brigades against the fire in Castellón and Teruel, which is still active seven days later. Both the low temperatures and the high relative humidity have helped control work during the early morning and in the last few hours there have been no incidents or reignitions. "It has been a quiet night," says José María Angel, regional secretary for Security and Emergencies of the Generalitat Valenciana.

According to Emergencies of the Valencian Generalitat, the director of the Advanced Command Post (PMA) located in Barracas has indicated that the evolution of the fire has gone as planned, there has been no reignition and the 500 land resources have been able to work with manual tools reviewing the two most critical points of the perimeter.

These are located in Sector 2, where the leap of flames was recorded (the CV-195 road in Montán), and in Sector 1, in Fuente La Reina, in the area of the Pudia ravine. The rest of the perimeter has been reviewed during the night and no incidence has been observed in the rest of the areas, as indicated by the WFP.

Tonight drones from the Military Emergency Unit have flown again and very few hot spots have been detected in the perimeter, which reaches 55 kilometers.

It is expected that at one point up to twenty-three aerial means will take off while the figures provided this Tuesday remain stable: 4,600 burned hectares of great ecological value with about 1,600 people evicted from towns and districts.

The air and land media will try to take advantage of the favorable weather conditions forecast this Wednesday before the feared west wind returns to the area this Thursday, which will raise temperatures and reduce relative humidity.
