In principle, the free service was scheduled until July 31, but the Governing Board has decided to extend the measure until the end of the year, the Executive spokesperson, Inmaculada Sanz, reported at a press conference.

The definitive implementation of the 611 new bases and the 7,500 new bicycles will be complete at the end of September and the City Council has highlighted that, since the new service was implemented, more than 973,000 trips have been made. And on July 12, the date with the most transfers, with a total of 24,835 uses.

The new model of bicycles, "more manageable, ergonomic and robust and with a design focused on improving the user experience" has been gradually incorporated by virtue of an expansion that has allowed Bicimad to be brought to the 21 districts of the capital.
