There are numerous contests in which restaurants present foods and dishes of all kinds, from pizzas to tortillas or croquettes, and compete to become the best in their category. But there was a production, known and consumed throughout the world, that still did not have its own large-scale contest. To date, because from October 20 to 29, Barcelona will host The Champions Burger, the first international championship that seeks to find the best burger in Europe.
The contest will bring together in Barcelona an international representation of more than 20 hamburger restaurants of high gastronomic level, who will compete to win the European title. To do this, the public who attends will be the ones who decide the winning burger with their votes during the ten days that the contest lasts, based on aspects such as bread, meat, the combination of ingredients and originality.
The restaurants will attend the contest aboard a food truck in which they will offer their proposals so that attendees can choose from a wide variety of types of gourmet hamburgers, from the most classic, to the most innovative, creative, avant-garde and signature, all with the best certified meats, artisan breads and fresh products.
The Champions Burger has established itself as the benchmark hamburger championship, with more than 750,000 people attending during the previous qualifications that were organized this year. Some of the restaurants that will participate in the contests are La Muralla, Jenkin's, Rico Burger, Vacarnal, among others. From the province of Barcelona, the Folks, Laburguesa, The Ranch Smokehouse, Double Biere and Timesburg trophy are competing.
Entry to the event, located in the Univers square at Fira de Barcelona, is completely free. Attendees will be in charge of choosing the winner through their votes. The user will only have to taste the burger, scan the QR code printed on the ticket they are given when placing the order and rate it.
The burger restaurant that obtains the best score among all the individual evaluations made by each consumer will win the title of Best Burger in Europe.
