The 21-year-old girl who was seriously injured on Friday night after being run over on Avenida de la Albufera in Madrid, at number 264, by a vehicle that subsequently fled, has died as a result of her injuries, police sources have confirmed to Europa Press.
The hit-and-run, which occurred in the Puente de Vallecas district, caused the young woman to be displaced several tens of meters and, when the Samur-Civil Protection toilets arrived, she was unconscious with multiple traumas, including a severe head injury.
Thus, she was stabilized and transferred to the 12 de Octubre hospital in a very serious condition, as reported by Emergencias Madrid at the time, although the young woman could not overcome the seriousness of the injuries and has finally died.
Shortly after the event, and thanks to the collaboration of the Madrid Municipal Police and the National Police, the driver of the car was located in Villaverde. The case is currently in court.
