Tapa Market: six days to toast with Cinzano Bitter Soda

Ours is a very own culture in which there is no shortage of aperitifs, where all the companies and places are good to celebrate such a special moment of the day. With friends, family or co-workers. At home, bars and restaurants or in a traditional market. Like the Mercat del Ninot in Barcelona, where, on November 23, 24, 25 and 30 and December 1 and 2, you can enjoy a traditional tapa, created with the best products and paired with a vibrant red drink, sparkling bubbles and a unique bitter taste: a Cinzano Bitter Soda. It is the perfect equation to put Barcelona, literally, in your mouth, at aperitif time.

La Tapa de Mercat proposes six days to eat the city of Barcelona in one of the more than 40 mandatory pilgrimage markets, for locals and visitors, who want to know the customs and delicacies of a region with an extensive gastronomy, such as Catalan. There are modernist, renovated, historic, local, centenary or multicultural, and crossing the doors of any of them is a journey in which we can enjoy the customs that make us so happy.

“We want to help revive the culture of traditions so that they are not lost. For this reason, we want to be present in the markets and connect with the citizens of Barcelona. We seek to promote local culture and commerce, highlighting the products of the markets. It is important to support consumption, praise the culture of our land and encourage people to enjoy traditions again: go to the markets, go for tapas and enjoy a Cinzano Bitter Soda,” says Núria Escoda, marketing director of Campari Spain, manufacturer of Cinzano. And behind the initiative is the iconic brand and star of the aperitif par excellence.

Together with the Municipal Market Institute of Barcelona and the Federation of Municipal Markets of Barcelona, Cinzano seeks to promote the local culture of the Catalan capital, in addition to highlighting the good local products present in each of the city's markets. That's why, through La Tapa de Mercat, some of the stalls in the emblematic Mercat de Ninot will create an exclusive tapa, made with market products, which will be served paired with the low-grade aperitif Cinzano Bitter Soda.

You can enjoy this gastronomic experience at thirteen stops in the Mercat del Ninot:

Praising the traditional flavors so that they are not lost and remain present, so that they continue to be passed on from generation to generation is also the purpose of Tapa de Mercat, which wants to bring this tradition closer to the youngest. A will that is reflected in the design of the poster, which comes from the hand of local illustrator Marc Pallares (@marcpallares), who has been able to perfectly capture each and every one of the contrasts and singularities of the local character of the city of Barcelona.

It will be a difficult choice, but Cinzano will give consumers the opportunity to choose their favorite tapa, voting through the brand's social networks. To thank them, all of them will be entered into the draw for a large basket with products from the stalls participating in the action, along with a Cinzano Bitter Soda kit.

A good handful of tapas await you at the Mercat del Ninot to brighten up your aperitif time with the usual Catalan tradition, that of good products, and the best of liquid companions, Cinzano Bitter Soda, a single-dose aperitif belonging to a family whose story began in Turin, Italy, in the mid-18th century. When the brothers Giovanni, Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano undertook the mission of becoming master distillers and opened the first winery: Casa Cinzano. Currently, the brand is an international emblem, recognized throughout the world thanks to its offer of high-quality vermouths. Also for its Italian aperitifs, among which Cinzano Bitter Soda stands out.
