Six agents of the Mossos d'Esquandra from the Regional Area of Operative Resources (Arro) were injured "of various degrees" this Sunday morning when their van collided with a taxi in Plaza Urquinaona in Barcelona.
One of the agents has been injured in a less serious condition and has been transferred to a hospital in the city, municipal sources have explained to Europa Press.
The other five police officers were slightly injured and were discharged on site after being treated by the emergency services.
The occupants of the taxi have not required transfer to a hospital either.
The collision between the two vehicles occurred around 08:00 at the intersection between Plaza Urquinaona and Roger de Llúria Street.
The Barcelona Urban Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the event.
