The National Police have arrested six young people in Malaga, three of them minors, as alleged perpetrators of a group attack on a minor who was beaten up and burned with flares. Three of those arrested have already entered prison.

The detainees, who were identified by a video uploaded to social networks, allegedly beat the victim for no apparent reason, causing fractures to the nose and two teeth, burns caused by flares, a sharp wound to the leg and numerous bruises in both eye sockets and other areas of the body.

As reported by the Police in a statement on Thursday, the events occurred on March 31 in a tunnel without lighting and in a state of semi-abandonment near the Paraninfo metro station, a meeting and drinking place frequented by young people, especially the elderly. weekends and holidays.

The investigation began after a complaint from the victim's father, the same night of the attack.

Apparently, the minor went with some friends and coincided with other groups of young people, including his aggressors, in an unlit and apparently semi-abandoned tunnel; At one point, and for no apparent reason, half a dozen teenagers took it out on the victim to the point of lynching her.

The attackers punched him, kicked him, kneed him, hit him with a stick, burned him with flares, and even cut his leg with a sharp object.

The minor was transferred to a hospital in Malaga by his father, who appeared at the scene upon learning of the facts. After being assisted by the doctors, the young man received a medical discharge.

The investigation, supported by a video of the attack, allowed the Police to identify those responsible, three adults and as many minors.

The detainees of legal age were handed over to the judge, who ordered their provisional detention, while the three minors were released and summoned to appear at the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, which has ordered their supervised release in addition to an accommodation order. of the victim.
