Ruibal clarifies his words about Vinícius

The Betis midfielder Aitor Ruibal published a statement on his social networks last night clarifying that "at no time and for no reason" has it been his intention to "discredit the figure of Vinicius Junior", Real Madrid's Brazilian striker, and has stressed that "I could never justify insulting a fellow professional in any context."

Ruibal has come up with the reactions to some of his statements at the end of the Betis-Real Madrid match (0-0) in which he said, among other things, that Vinicius "has to assume that they kick him" because "in the end it's his game", "he tries to dribble a lot" and "he gets into the game a lot with the fans" and "he is talking to them all the time".

In his statement, the footballer from Sallent de Llobregat (Barcelona) addresses "all Béticos, Madridistas and football fans in general" and specifies that his statements "are taken out of context, by reducing an extensive response" to "a specific question about the situation" generated around the Real Madrid player.

"The unfortunate headlines that have appeared after the match has been disputed give rise to erroneous interpretations that tarnish my name, that of my club and that of my fans. Therefore, I reserve the right to take the appropriate actions that contribute to cleaning up the honor of all parties involved," he says.

Ruibal adds that he does not regret his statements or opinions and denounces that "the lack of respect that is being produced by some media" towards his image and that of all Beticos "is demeaning for journalism in general, which should be pure and transparent." "I totally reject the use that is being made of my figure as a tool to find the 'easy click'", he says.
