The investigating court number 1 of Lleida has ordered the provisional imprisonment of the owner of a premises in Alcarràs in which Civil Guard agents found 998 grams of methamphetamine, commonly called speed, during a tax inspection of several premises in the town.

The events occurred on the afternoon of April 12, the agents found a large plastic bag containing a powdery and compact white substance. Given the possibility that it was an illegal narcotic substance, at that time several drug detection tests were carried out. Tests determined it was methamphetamine.

In the kitchen of the premises and adjacent rooms, the Civil Guard found material that is usually used to prepare single doses of drugs for sale.

On April 12, the agents arrested the person in charge of the establishment for the alleged commission of a crime against public health and after a few days they arrested the owner of the bar.

Once they were brought to justice, the investigating court ordered the pretrial detention of the owner of the premises without bail.
