Podemos reached the agreement last Monday to complete the Employment Regulation File (ERE) that began at the beginning of August, for which it will lay off more than 70% of the workforce in a process that mainly affects women workers in the game.
As El Periódico de España advanced yesterday and La Vanguardia has been able to confirm, of the 105 workers affected by the ERE, only 28 will be saved, belonging to the central headquarters, after agreeing the departure of the 44 workers from the different regional headquarters and 33 from the central services located in Madrid, including the entire team of the equality secretariat. 64% of the ERE list are women.
According to party sources, the Podemos executive, which includes the equality minister, has decided that the workforce should be reduced to 21 men and only 7 women, skipping the Equality Plan and without using objective criteria, as established by law in the ARE. In this way, there is finally a party made up of 82% men compared to 18% women.
The scope of the ERE initially proposed has been much greater, and with it the closure of eight territorial federations is consummated.
In addition, the compensation agreed with the workers is 38 days per year worked, only 5 days more than the minimum provided by law (33 days) and far from the 45 that the purple formation politically defends.
The bad electoral results of Podemos in the municipal and regional elections of the past 28-M explain this situation. These poor results have caused an economic loss in the party that reaches 90% at the regional level and 70% at the state level.
