Not all agree with Vox

A few weeks ago, Salva Enguix wrote about the different speeds and reluctance that the PP showed when facing the necessary agreements with Vox to govern in the different Spanish geographies after the regional and municipal elections of 23-M. Although María Guardiola from Extremadura had to swallow her plea against Vox, the truth is that in Murcia relations are broken, in the Balearic Islands those of Santiago Abascal have not entered the government while, in the Valencian Community, and this Thursday it was possible to see in Les Corts Valencianes, the harmony between the consellers is total.

Thus, now that the different governments are beginning to become clear, it can be seen how not all of the Valencian PP have shown the same predisposition to reach governments with the extreme right. Some were led to them -the case of the municipalities of Torrent or Elx, where the PP was not the most voted political force-, and others had no problem in closing an immediate pact that made Genoa tremble, due to the first information that they found out about the agreement.

It does not seem that the government agreement that has invested Carlos Mazón as president of the Generalitat has scared away the conservative voter in the Valencian Community -who seemed to have internalized that there would be an agreement if they gave the numbers-, but it has mobilized the left; both to the Valencian -the PSOE has risen the same as PP and Vox together- as well as to the Catalan, the Basque or the Navarrese.

However, the rush of Mazón contrasts these days with the attitude of the mayoress of Valencia, María José Catalá. The municipal leader did not need Vox for the investiture and now she seems to have satisfied them with the idea that they will be a preferred partner, yes, with a good salary. The four councilors of the Abascal formation will receive the maximum possible compensation in the opposition. Catalá knows that when certain votes arrive he will need them, but he prefers, for now, to have them out of his government, although they are happy.

The new president of the Provincial Council, the popular Vicent Mompó, has used a different strategy, who did rely on Vox for his inauguration, but now he has chosen to form a minority government with the deputy who was key in that fateful vote that left the Valencian left in shock. Mompó - yesterday the powers were distributed - has opted for the most complicated path, adds less with La Vall Ens Uneix than the entire left, but has preferred not to depend on Vox to have more stability in the plenary session of the provincial institution. A maneuver as brave as risky.

After different ways of dealing with the problem posed by agreements with the extreme right. Throughout the legislature, we will see which of the three leaders does better.
