Nanoseconds of nature in the Estany d'Ivars

I try to get different points of view every nanosecond, microsecond and macrosecond in the landscape of the Estany d'Ivars. We can see the result in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.

This natural space is located between two municipalities. Specifically, 65% of its surface corresponds to Ivars d'Urgell and the remaining 35% to Vila-sana.

The pond, as it is currently known, is the result of a recovery process that began in the 1990s and did not end until 2005, with the conditioning works in the area.

These 126 hectares form the perfect ecosystem for the development of native fauna and flora. This pond has a great diversity of species.

As for the flora, the most common vegetation is humid, such as reed beds or white salce. The animals that dominate the pond are birds, including species such as the common duck or the stork.
