Más Madrid warns that Madrid's healthcare is approaching the point of no return

"The Madrid health system can't take it anymore, so a turning point could be reached in which public health is not recoverable." The Más Madrid candidate for the Presidency of the Community, Mónica García, has been clear this Monday during an informative breakfast organized by the Europa Forum in which she has promised a shock plan of "6,100 million in the first four years", in case of to be elected president of the Community on 28-M.

The opposition leader in Madrid has placed health at the center of her political program and has promised to defend it as "part of the identity of our region." An anesthetist by profession, García would begin his restructuring by recovering the talent that has packed his bags in recent years: "30% of pediatricians have left. They have left despite having obtained the best grades, despite which they have left had to settle for the worst conditions and the worst contracts", he lamented.

"To those who talk about the culture of effort, I would tell them to speak to our pediatricians, our nurses and our family doctors," he added.

Despite facing a very strengthened Ayuso after the 2021 electoral advance, García has been optimistic with the polls and has defended that his formation "has no ceiling".

"More Madrid is the only alternative that can send Ayuso to the opposition, assured García, who defends that his formation, in addition to speaking 100% of Madrid, is the only one that reconciles citizens with good politics", has indicated.

And for this, he has looked at the results that the PSOE obtained in 2019 with Ángel Gabilondo as candidate, who brushed the presidency with 37 seats, but the sum of Más Madrid and Podemos was less than that of the PP, Cs and Vox. "I want to reissue Gabilondo's 37 seats. It is the horizon of the progressives and I am not satisfied with a second place," he argued.

For his part, the socialist candidate for the Community of Madrid, Juan Lobato, has insisted in statements to journalists that the PSOE is the "only party" that rises in the polls, although he is not satisfied: "In the rest (of polls ) the PP falls, in others Más Madrid falls, the only one that rises is the PSOE". "There are three weeks of the campaign left here, there is a very high expectation in Madrid and we believe that this dynamic, this change of dynamics, which has been very difficult, because the PSOE comes from a very complex moment", has defended the also general secretary of the PSOE-M.
