Moreno Bonilla inaugurates the headquarters of the Junta de Andalucía on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona

Born in Barcelona in 1970, the president of the Junta de Andalucía highlights in all his visits to Catalonia the ties that unite these two territories, linked by the massive immigration from the agrarian south to the industrial north in the middle of the last century.

That close family relationship between Catalans and Andalusians is what Juanma Moreno will extol this morning at the headquarters of the future delegation of Andalusia in Catalonia, at number 21 Paseo de Gràcia, whose inauguration was one of his promises and a personal commitment.

After going through l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, where he will meet with representatives of Andalusian entities, the leader of the Andalusian PP will accompany Manu Reyes, popular candidate for mayor of Castelldefels, on a walk through the commercial area and will visit the Casa de Andalucía .

In the midst of the run-up to the municipal elections on May 28, the presence in Castelldefels of Moreno, whose absolute majority is seen by his fellow ranks as an aspirational model, will be a boost for Reyes, who yearns to recover the rod of command that he had in his power from 2011 to 2015.

The Catalan tour of the Andalusian president will continue on Saturday again in Barcelona, where tomorrow he will walk the streets of the neighborhood of Sarrià together with Daniel Sirera, the mayor of the PP in the Catalan capital, during the celebration of the day of street commerce.

Unlike Friday, where the focus will be on the voter of Andalusian origin and working class that the PP disputes with the PSC, in the upper area of Barcelona Moreno will have the opportunity to address a more conservative and well-to-do electorate, whom he is also trying to seduce Xavier Trias from the post-convergent orbit of Junts.

But it will be tomorrow afternoon when the most symbolic act of the visit of the president of Andalusia will take place. At six, Juanma Moreno will attend the mass in the Sagrada Família basilica to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Rocío pilgrimage in Catalonia, organized by the Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (Fecac).

In the ceremony, in which 2,500 guests will participate, among whom will also be the president of the Almonte Brotherhood, Santiago Padilla, the Cardinal Archbishop of Barcelona, Juan José Omella, will officiate the Eucharist.
