More Madrid signs Carla Antonelli for the regional elections

Más Madrid has signed the former PSOE deputy Carla Antonelli for the next regional elections in Madrid.

The formation led by Mónica García has the historic socialist leader for a high position on its list -number 5 is being considered- and has closed the agreement just months after the LGTBI activist left the PSOE a few months ago due to differences in the party with the Trans Law.

"I was, I am and I will be a socialist, wherever I am and whatever the sphere of life," Antonelli said on October 18 when he left the party for which he has asked for the vote for the last 45 years.

Garcia herself has confirmed it on Twitter. "It is a pleasure to welcome you to Más Madrid, Carla. Always welcome all the fighting people, with an eye on the future and who work for a diverse, free and happy Madrid," she wrote.

García will presumably officiate the incorporation with an act planned this morning in Chueca.

The recent signing of Tesh Sidi also stands out on the Más Madrid list for the Assembly. The Saharawi activist will occupy number eleven on the Más Madrid list and will make her professional experience as an engineer specialized in big data available to the party.

Sidi has a previous career as an activist behind him, and he understands the transition to politics as "a quite natural process." "We Sahrawis were born doing politics because we had no other choice," he points out before adding: "Many social movements have been very successful and have received a lot of media coverage, but they have never been accompanied by institutional policies, which are what change the lives of the people (...). Staying on the margins of politics is not worth it".
