Òmnium denounces an attack on its headquarters in Barcelona after the demonstration against the amnesty

A group of unidentified people have vandalized the Òmnium headquarters in Barcelona after the demonstration against the amnesty that brought together tens of thousands of people in Barcelona called by the Catalan Civil Society and to which groups such as PP, Vox and Ciudadanos have joined.

Several decorative vinyls from the façade have been torn off and graffiti has been done on the entity's pro-independence posters and flags, in addition to stickers with the slogan "Neither amnesty nor pardons for embezzlers and coup plotters."

On social networks, Òmnium condemned the vandalism and added: "its intolerance reaffirms our commitment to continue fighting for culture, language and country."

Tens of thousands of people - some 50,000 people, according to the Urban Guard and 300,000, according to the Catalan Civil Society, the organizing entity - demonstrated this Sunday in Barcelona against the amnesty for those prosecuted for the process, a protest that has had the support of the top leaders of the PP, Vox and Ciudadanos.

The march, which started after 12 noon at the confluence of Paseo de Gràcia with Provenza Street and ended two hours later shortly before reaching Gran Vía, had as its motto "Not in my name: neither amnesty nor self-determination", although the proclamation "Puigdemont, to prison" has been one of the most chanted.
