Marta Ortega is expecting her third child

Good news for one of the most recognized families in our country. Marta Ortega, daughter of Amancio Ortega and president of Inditex, is pregnant with her third child. This is how ¡Hola! magazine announces it this weekend. After almost five years of marriage with Carlos Torretta, the couple is expecting their second child together. As the aforementioned medium points out, the businesswoman would be about four months pregnant. Citing close sources, the renowned magazine ensures that the couple, like their families, are delighted with this news.

The daughter of one of the most famous men in the country was appointed president of Inditex in December 2021, a challenge that she faced with commitment and desire. In fact, despite the doubts of many of her at the beginning of her leading the textile business group, Marta has made history with maximum sales and profits.

As we said, the textile giant has marked the best year in its history: 4,130 million profits. 27% more in profits and 17.5 more in sales compared to the previous year. Currently, in total there are 1,800 company stores spread over 95 countries and 165,000 employees of 170 nationalities.

Now we have been able to learn that this success goes far beyond the professional, since Marta is now going through a very good personal stage of her life. The businesswoman began her relationship with her current husband in 2016, but it was not until November 2018 that they both went down the aisle.

The truth is that Marta Ortega already has two children, not counting the one who is now on the way. This is Amancio, ten years old, born from her first marriage to the rider Sergio Álvarez. On the other hand, there is Matilda Torretta, three. The businesswoman will have the help of her parents, Amancio and Flori, to care for this baby, as well as her two little brothers. And it is that the proud grandparents reside in the same building as the family in A Coruña.

This weekend, the family will reappear in Casas Novas, the equestrian center that Amancio Ortega built in the year 2000. The equestrian club will host the edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour from July 14 to 16, a very prominent event in the world horse riding, to which only the best riders have access. After previous editions at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid and Monaco, Casas Novas replaces New York as the venue for this competition. Without a doubt, another very good news for the family, which has much to celebrate.
