Luís Figo presents his fashion brand

The connection between sports stars and fans often goes far beyond the strictly professional. A feeling of union with that mass idol that everyone seeks to resemble, even in terms of image. David Beckham made the shaved head fashionable and Neymar the textured bleached hair. In terms of style, fans also seek to resemble them, which is why some footballers have launched into creating their own brand.

As Cristiano Ronaldo did with CR7 Denim or Zlatan Ibrahimovic with his sports fashion line, A-Z Sportswear, Luís Figo has also decided to try his luck in the world of fashion with his own brand of men's clothing and accessories named after his initials, L.F. The former soccer player has teamed up with the Italian businessman and fashion consultant Gandolfo Albanese, an expert with more than twenty years in the sector who has collaborated with internationally renowned firms such as Dolce

A line that is positioned in the field of "fashion-luxury" and that has seen the light of day within the framework of the Men's Fashion Week that is held from June 16 to 20 in Milan, in a very exclusive event that brought together in the Italian capital to friends and professionals in the sector. Figo's fashion project, as the firm tells FashionUnited, responds to the needs of the new modern man when it comes to dressing with class and style.

“Luís Figo is a sober, sporty, elegant and at the same time refined high-end collection, which ranges from travel clothing to sportswear, including what we call new chicwear, a term that perfectly frames the inspiration”. And they add: "We identify ourselves with dynamic and contemporary men who love style and are committed to savoir faire, elegance and class" – values that the former soccer player has managed to maintain during his successful career in the media spotlight.

With that focus on satisfying this target audience, the collections will be produced exclusively in Italy, in workshops spread throughout the regions of Umbria, the Marches and Tuscany. In the official presentation of the brand, the guests were able to discover its first collection for the upcoming spring/summer 2024 season, a proposal that will not be marketed until February of next year.
