Levante, favorite for promotion against Alavés

Levante or Alavés will be a First Division team at 11 p.m. tonight. After the promotions of Granada and Las Palmas by direct means, today the Ciutat de València will issue a ruling in a match that is presumed to be very even after the 0-0 first leg in Mendizorroza. The granotas led by Javier Calleja not only have the field factor in their favour. They seem to get better at this last effort of the season, after four wins and a draw. In Vitoria they did not have possession, but they did enjoy the best opportunities and the tie was cheap.

Levante, in addition, has beaten Alavés in two of the three games they have played in the League, in which the Basque team has been unable to score a goal.

The City of Valencia will present the best ticket of the season, a crowd of 24,000 spectators. Something like this has not been experienced since the last promotion to Primera, which dates back to 2017.

Javier Calleja has been able to recover his three hits from Vitoria: Rober Pier, Postigo and Álex Muñoz. No new developments are expected in the center of the field, with Iborra and Pepelu in the center of the midfield and De Frutos and Joni on the sides. Brugué and Bouldini would be the two most advanced of a Levante in search of their sixth promotion to the First Division.

At Alavés Luis García Plaza will not be able to count on Salva Sevilla due to injury, nor on Antonio Blanco and Jesús Owono, concentrated with their national teams. The precedents are not good for the Glorioso, but the people of Vitoria will not be alone. More than 400 of his followers will be in the stands of the Ciutat de València. Luis García Plaza is moderately optimistic: “We are going to fight with everything. You have to know how to play at all times. There will be several phases and we will have our opportunities. I foresee a game very similar to the first leg”.

For his part, Javier Calleja warns: “We have everything in our favour, but we cannot relax. We have to live the best."
