The first edition of the Forum Coffee Festival opened its doors this Friday at the Farga de l'Hospitalet de Llobregat venue. It is the largest competition in Spain dedicated to the world of coffee.
About 10,000 visitors are expected until next Sunday, according to the organization. The aim is to create a platform to highlight the importance of producers, roasters, baristas and consumers.
"Behind a cup of coffee there is an origin, a process and an entire industry," said the director of the Festival, Iolanda Baños. "We need information about what we are taking," she added.
Coffee in gastronomy has been one of the protagonists of the first day. According to the organization, during the weekend l'Hospitalet de Llobregat will bring together the best professionals, experts and lovers of the world of coffee.
