The mother of brothers Anton and Quim Roig Jofré brought from the United States what has turned out to be the best souvenir for her children: a business idea. “Our family owns a pharmaceutical laboratory, and our mother detected the growing trend in the United States of marketing dietary products in the form of gummies,” explains Anton Roig Jofré.

The oldest of the brothers had the intention of leaving his job to create his own company and, when looking for a partner, he trusted his little brother Quim, who was finishing his degree in Psychology and had the intention of devoting himself to psychology. applied to sales. Quim Roig affirms that he did not hesitate for a moment to accept, and that is how the two brothers founded Jelly Pills in September 2020.

With its tax headquarters in Cambrils, where the brothers are from, Jelly Pills has nine food supplements in gummy format that strengthen the immune system or help promote healthier sleep, among other features. They market through pharmacies, the Amazon platform and the brand's online store, with their main markets being Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. Their next destination is the United States, the cradle of the original idea of Jelly Pills and where they want to enter in 2024 thanks to a financing round of half a million euros that the partners plan to close before the end of the year. Anton Roig points out that this economic injection will help them grow faster, leading them to double their turnover in 2024, up to 1.2 million euros.

The startup has a team of twelve people who work in a coworking in Barcelona.

The Roig Jofré brothers are the first to be convinced of the need to complement the diet with food supplements. However, entrepreneurs understand that this need is not at odds with the palate. For this reason they have opted for sweets instead of pills or other classic nutricosmetics formats. Furthermore, “if they taste good, it is easier to acquire the daily habit of taking the food supplement, even if we feel well,” explains Quim Roig Jofré.
