Jack Miller defends Márquez: "Everyone goes with the knife because it's him"

The Australian Jack Miller (KTM RC 16) has been against the sanctioning of the Spanish Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda RC 213 V) for his incident with the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia RS-GP) in the last race in Portugal.

"Of course there has to be a line, and the job of the stewards is to know where that line is, but I don't agree with prohibiting someone from running one or more races, I don't think it's the right way, and except in the first test. There should be clear rules", said the Australian pilot clearly.

"It doesn't matter if your wheel has locked, if you have shot the one in front, a penalty is imposed. The question is where that line is put," insisted Miller.

"What happened last weekend is normal. When you haven't gotten on the bike for four months we all want to prove things, although unfortunately accidents can happen in this sport and when you're wrong there have to be consequences."

"There are those who say that a race should be lost, others who say to give him this or another penalty, but in the end we have to be consistent and I don't think it's the way, especially in the first race," he said without hesitation in Termas de Río Hondo. Jack Miller.

"There were big crashes last year, like Nakagami -Takaaki- in Barcelona or mine with Álex -Márquez- at Phillip Island, but since he's Marc Márquez, everyone thinks and goes with the knife against him. I'm not trying to defend him. He has made a mistake and he knows it, but they are getting too fed up. In the end this is racing", stressed Jack Miller.
