That Míriam Nogueras can continue to be the spokesperson for Junts in Madrid is painful but understandable (independence is the great social elevator in Catalonia for the less talented). The drama is Barcelona. Will its potential mayor, Xavier Trias, resist the occurrences of Waterloo, incompatible with looking ahead and the spirit of his campaign?
The Giró anecdote does not invite optimism, a state of mind that is so convenient for Barcelona. Xavier Trias distanced himself from Waterloo in his campaign. And of the estelades or the ties. He introduced himself with his initials – not those of the party – and even claimed the convergent soul. And the people of Barcelona bought him a binding pact.
The same election night, the covered ones appeared, those who 24 hours before would have ruined the winner. The Turull, Borràs, Nogueras...
