The protesters, carrying Palestinian flags, chanted slogans such as "It's not a war, it's genocide", "Zionist state, terrorist state", called for a boycott of Israel and asked "Where are the sanctions on Israel?" .
In recent days, several rallies in support of Palestine have been held in Barcelona, following a manifesto from the Palestinian community that calls for mobilization throughout the world to confront the "Zionist project" and the "world imperialist" system. ".
In this manifesto, the Palestinian community emphasizes that "after decades of political, economic and military collaboration" of the countries of the international community, "the Palestinian people have decided to make use of an internationally recognized right: the right of occupied peoples to defense by all means at your disposal.
