A man has been sentenced by the Alicante Court to two years in prison for sexually abusing a minor while they were playing tag at the home where the defendant lived with the victim's mother and her brother, in the Alicante municipality of Altea.
The sentence, handed down by a Third Section court, details that the defendant took advantage of playing games with the little girl, who was then ten years old, to satisfy his sexual desires.
The events occurred from May 2, 2021, when the girl took her first communion. From then on, touching was recorded at different times in the house.
The 51-year-old defendant assumed responsibility for the events at the beginning of the trial, on May 31, after reaching an agreement in accordance with the Prosecutor's Office. Thus, the judicial resolution imposes a sentence of two years in prison, which is suspended for the same period on the condition that he does not commit a crime again.
It also establishes the payment of financial compensation of 1,000 euros for the damage caused and the measure of removal at a minimum distance of 300 meters from the minor for a period of three years.
