Gavi: "We can't be breaded"

Long faces among the Blaugrana in the locker room tunnel and at the foot of the field, after Barça's defeat in the classic against Real Madrid (1-2). Having the match under control, with Gündogan 1-0 at the start of the duel, and seeing the 3 points escape in the 92nd minute... The one who most and best expressed his anger, due to nonconformity, ambition and winning character, was Gavi. The Andalusian midfielder did not bite his tongue: "We can't be so overwhelmed." He was the most critical voice of the Blaugrana.

“We deserved the game from start to finish, a shame for the two actions of the two goals. The League is very long and we have to continue," commented the Blaugrana midfielder into Dazn's microphone.

“In the end they are details, the first goal [of Real Madrid] marked the game. We cannot be so bogged down in that action that ultimately marks the game. From the first goal [1-1, minute 68] we went down a bit," Gavi admitted with sincerity and resignation.

The captain, Ter Stegen, expressed himself in a less self-critical line. “We played a good game, in the end they scored the second from a rebound, it arrives right there, it doesn't take much to score and it has been proven again," commented the German goalkeeper.

Ter Stegen, asked by Dazn about Bellingham, admitted that the Englishman "has changed the game for Real Madrid" with his two goals. “But in general we were going into the game a little fair, although it is not an excuse, we had it in our face and we did not know how to keep the result in our favor,” acknowledged the German.

Araújo was paired with Vinícius again, in one of the hottest duels in the League. And the Uruguayan did not come out badly. “I played a good game, against Vini it is always difficult, I think he is the best one-on-one," said the defender, yesterday again at right back.

The Uruguayan opted for a speech to recover his spirits. "We have to continue, it is our first defeat of the season, last year we lost the first classic and ended up champions. Cool heads and continue," he commented.

Regarding the possible penalty that he was subjected to - and Gil Manzano did not whistle -, Ronald Araújo commented: “I didn't see the play, it seemed like a penalty to me. I went to try to finish and he pushed me back, if he didn't push me (Tchouaméni) I would finish at the near post. At least they should have reviewed it," he lamented for the VAR not reviewing the play.
